KARE 11: See or Skip in September

Dear readers,
This morning, I visited KARE 11 Saturday, the weekend morning show of Minnesota’s local NBC affiliate, to share reviews of two new releases.
First, I discussed the pros and cons of Practical Magic 2 as a legacy sequel: it’s too similar to the original, but it still offers some pleasant moments with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. Ultimately, though, I was disappointed.
I had much more positive things to say about Paul Greengrass’ The Uprising, an almost docu-style drama about the Peasant Revolt of 1381. Andrew Garfield is excellent in this story that has plenty of modern-day parallels.
