KARE 11 – Summer Alternatives to Combat Superhero Burnout

By Brian Eggert | August 2, 2025

Dear readers,

On August 2, I appeared on KARE 11 Saturday, the weekend morning show of Minnesota’s NBC affiliate, to talk about three summer alternatives to combat your superhero fatigue. Although I’ve enjoyed the last couple of MCU titles and the new Superman movie, not everyone is a fan of superhero movies. So I recommend three well-reviewed titles that provide an antidote to capes and world-saving antics.

Anchor Chris Hrapsky and I talked about the grotesque, humorous, and squirmy appeal of NEON’s new release, Together. I shared my thoughts on Liam Neeson’s new role in The Naked Gun legacy sequelFinally, I previewed Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s latest thriller, Cloudwhich is now available in some territories and is set to open in Minnesota next week.

Check out the discussion below and visit the Guest Appearances page for my other TV and podcast credits.

Happy viewing!

Brian
