Friends and Fellow Critics
By Brian Eggert | February 14, 2024
Over the years, I’ve cultivated connections within various critics groups, forging friendships with talented writers whose work I admire and read regularly. Most weeks, I interact with members of the Minnesota Film Critics Alliance.
However, several other groups, with members in Minnesota, the United States, and the entire globe, are my colleagues and friends. These include members of the Society For Cinema and Media Studies, Online Film & Television Association, International Film Society Critics, Independent Film Critics of America, National Coalition of Independent Scholars, and the Large Association of Movie Blogs.
If you’re interested in great film criticism, discussions, and videos, I highly recommend you check out their work on the links below:
• The Cinema Dipatch – Hunter Friesen
• The MN Movie Man – Joe Botten
• FlixChatter – Ruth Maramis
• Film Trace – Daniel Wipert and Chris Polley
• Paul’s Trip to the Movies – Paul McGuire Grimes
• Movies with Mark – Mark McPherson
• St. Paul Filmcast, Kyle & Nick on Film, GOAT Film Reviews – Nicholas Palodichuk and Kyle Goethe
