The LAMBcast – Decade Lookback 1998
By Brian Eggert | June 5, 2024
Dear readers (and listeners),
I recently appeared on The LAMBcast, the official podcast of the Large Association of Movie Blogs (The LAMB), along with three other critics, for an episode called “Decade Lookback 1998.” Each of us came prepared to discuss five films from the year 1998. Some guests included films they admire or remember fondly; others had a more random selection. I selected a few titles I’ve written about or generally love, ranging from international cinema to an entry in the Star Trek franchise.
Host Richard Kirkham (from the blog Kirkam A Movie a Day) welcomed David Brook from Blueprint Review, Dave Anderson from Free Kittens Movie Guide, and myself to discuss the year. Admittedly, I felt a little under the weather during the recording, hence my low energy. Nonetheless, I think we had a fun discussion, filled with memories and solid recommendations from 1998’s year in film.
