You have a month or two now to breathe between this summer’s disappointing season of blockbusters and the winter’s award-worthy onslaught. September and October generally contain titles the studios had no idea where else place. They weren’t big enough for summer and certainly weren’t going to win any awards, so empty them into the early fall months and see what happens. That's the logic, anyway. Many of the films on this month’s schedule could go either way; there’s really no predicting how they’ll play out. Still, titles like Buried, Machete, The Town, and the Wall Street sequel have my interest piqued. Which September release are you most anticipating?
